Thien Tan Group discussed solar power project with US company

(Featured content | Thien Tan Group) – Thien Tan Group (Quang Ngai) had a meeting with representative of Black & Veatch to discuss the potential of cooperation of doing feasibility study for Ninh Thuan solar power project. 

At the meeting, Mr.Huỳnh Kim Lập – Chairman of Thiên Tân Group has briefly introduced the Ninh Thuận solar power project own by Thiên Tân Group. The project is expected to cost about $ 2 billion, capacity 1.000 MW, and will use First Solar’s module (US). As estimated, the number of absorb and generating renewable energy hours will be utilized to the maximum frequency of 24/24, about 9-10 months/year.


The meeting between Thien Tan Group and US company

After the short introduction about the project by Mr.Huynh Kim LapBlack & Veatch said: They are one of the leading company of US in consulting, construction and development of solar, water, telecommunicate infrastructure and Federal management consulting.

Black & Veatch has a thick background in renewable energy field with up to 22.000 MW solar power and 15.000 MW wind power installed capacity and more than 100 offices in the world, their projects distribute worldwide in 6 continents.

The cooperation between Thien Tan Group and Black & Veatch could be seen as an opportunity to promote the relationship between Vietnam – US businesses in the future. Black & Veatch was introduced by USTDA (US) to cooperate with Thien Tan Group to do Ninh Thuan solar power project.

Recently, Office of the Government has announced the conclusion of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the meeting of Permanent Government about incentives to develop solar projects in Vietnam. In which the Ninh Thuan solar power project developed by Thien Tan Group received many attention from the Government.
